TIPS

Everyone needs help when it comes to moving whether it be with physical labor or just answering questions.

Knowing the right approach to a task such as moving furniture is a must.

Time and space are valuable in moving, you don't want to waste either.

Read over some of these moving tips to help make your move successful!

  • TIME IS NECESSARY

    Plan Ahead! Plan Ahead!

Give yourself plenty of time to prepare for your move. Put close valuable items and important paperwork aside for yourself. Trying to find last minute items in boxes can take more time than expected. Last minute changes do happen so having more time is favorable.

  • SAY GOODBYE TO UNUSED STUFF

Saving space when moving is ideal. Downsizing and minimizing is best right before moving. Don't bring old unused items that won't be used or will just take up space. Always as, anyone can bring any items they wish but if looking to downsize, plenty of organizations accept donations.

  • HEAVY FURNITURE UPSTAIRS

Staying compact and stealth with heavier furniture going upstairs is key! If a dresser is going from ground level to ground level, leaving clothes and linens is no problem. Lets say if the dresser is going the third floor with no elevator, being as light as possible would give the greater odds of a successful move. We are the Big Kahunas of moving but we are also human with human strength!

  • PACK THE BASICS YOURSELF

When some people move, they like to pack themselves. Knowing the small tricks to ensure a secure move with lower risk is very easy. If packing your own boxes, we recommend packing the boxes to the top. If not done, stacking boxes on top of partial packed boxes could cause damage and errors with boxes staying secure.

-Use ample amount of tape when securing boxes! Put a few pieces down the middle and one around the exterior perimeter to secure the tape going down the middle will stay attached to the box. * Boxes splitting and disassembling is the main result of tape negligence. *
